Education

The primary aim of the Safe Haven project was to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children separated from their families, helping them feel valued, secure, and empowered. Beyond creating a physical safe space, the project sought to strengthen the children’s mental resilience, self-confidence, and emotional well being, addressing the long term impact of family separation. Another critical objective was to equip the children with practical skills, such as basic self defence, that would enable them to navigate daily challenges confidently. Additionally, the project aimed to foster hope, ambition, and positive thinking by motivating children to set personal goals and imagine a brighter future despite the emotional and social challenges they face. Finally, by providing meals and opportunities for shared activities, the project sought to instill a sense of community, joy, and normalcy, giving children moments of happiness in an otherwise difficult stage of life.
