Nawala Metro Leo Club is organizing this fundraiser.
The primary aim of the Safe Haven project was to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children separated from their families, helping them feel valued, secure, and empowered. Beyond creating a physical safe space, the project sought to strengthen the children’s mental resilience, self-confidence, and emotional well-being, addressing the long-term impact of family separation. Another critical objective was to equip the children with practical skills, such as basic self-defence, that would enable them to navigate daily challenges confidently. Additionally, the project aimed to foster hope, ambition, and positive thinking by motivating children to set personal goals and imagine a brighter future despite the emotional and social challenges they face. Finally, by providing meals and opportunities for shared activities, the project sought to instill a sense of community, joy, and normalcy, giving children moments of happiness in an otherwise difficult stage of life.
