Education

The Leo Club of Nawala Metro initiated Project “Safe Haven” with the objective of ensuring the safety, protection, and mental wellbeing of children who are separated from their families and residing in orphanages.

Understanding the emotional challenges and uncertainties these children face, the project aimed to create a nurturing and supportive environment where they feel valued, understood, and emotionally secure.

Through meaningful interactions and engaging activities, the initiative focused on bringing joy, comfort, and a sense of belonging into their lives, helping them momentarily step away from their struggles.

In addition, the project sought to provide them with care and warmth through shared experiences, including offering meals that bring happiness and a feeling of normalcy during difficult times.

Ultimately, the objective was to remind these children that despite their circumstances, they are not alone, they are seen, and they are deeply cared for.
